A study in blue and green from the Thailand archive. Clear shallows, limestone walls and the warm glow of a very different horizon.
At Maya Bay, the cliffs make a natural frame. The water moves from a pale, almost transparent green at the edge of the beach to a deeper turquoise further out. Even in a busy photograph, the landscape holds the attention.
Another frame from Krabi brings the longtail boats into view. Their narrow shapes sit low against the rock, a useful reminder of how large the cliffs really are.
The final photograph turns inland. Filed in the Chiang Mai / Pai collection, it trades the sea for a sunset over layered mountains. Two landscapes, one country, and a completely different sense of space.
